LOT Airlines earned a billion zlotys in profit thanks to Ukrainians. Despite the fact that the skies over Ukraine are closed to civilian air travel, Ukrainians continue to fly from airports in Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, and most of all from Poland. LOT's transatlantic flights are actively developing, which attracts Ukrainians.
The Hungarian airline Wizz Air continues to reduce its route network in many European countries. The cancellation of routes is due to difficulties in maintaining Pratt & Whitney engines installed in Airbus aircraft.
On March 1, 2024, a new bus shuttle service was launched between Odesa and Chisinau Airport. The ticket price is UAH 800, but military personnel, their families, people with disabilities, and combatants receive a 50% discount.
