MAYA BAY

   Maya Bay is a stunningly beautiful lagoon on the Thai island of Phi Phi. After this secluded place became the main location of the 1999 movie The Beach, it gained immense popularity among tourists. The bay is open to the public all year round, but it is better to go to the archipelago during the high season, from December to March: it is dry and not too hot. The low season lasts from June to November, when it rains, cyclones, and typhoons.
